The mimio Wireless unit

The mimio Wireless unit comes with two parts, the USB Adapter and the Wireless

Module. These two parts are setup to work exclusively together at the factory. If

however, the units are switched or mixed with other mimio Wireless components, they

will not work.

Pairing the Wireless Module and USB Adapter

If a unit becomes unpaired for any reason, such as replacing your wireless USB Adapter

or if you own multiple mimio Wireless units and mistakenly get the wireless Module

and the USB Adapter components mixed with other units you can manually re-pair

any one Wireless Module with one Wireless USB Adapter. Once paired, this wireless

set will work exclusively and will not function with any other wireless devices.

The pairing process is described below:

1. Power on the mimio Xi bar with an attached Wireless Module.

2. Plug in the USB Adapter into an USB port on your computer.

3. Press and hold the Pair Button on the USB adapter for

5 seconds or until the LED on the USB Adapter starts

to flash. This initiates the paring process.

4. Quickly, press and hold the recessed Pair Button on

the Wireless Module with the end of a paper clip. The Wireless

Module should beep and the link LED should start to flash green.

The LED on the USB Adapter and the Wireless Module must be

flashing at the same time for the pairing process to be successful.

5. Once the USB Adapter and the Wireless Module are connected,

the Link Status LED on the Wireless Module will turn solid green.

Additional notes:

o You cannot pair two mimio USB Adapters to the same Xi bar

o You cannot pair two mimio Xi bars to the same USB Adapter

o Bluetooth and/or 802.11x is neither required nor supported
